"O Brother" krijgt onderscheiding van het jaar tijdens het "IBMA Awards 2001"

Zoals reeds in de aankondiging vermeld hebben de geluidsopname van de film " O Brother, where art thou? tezamen met Rhonda Vincent & The Rage en Dan Tyminski, tevens lid van Union Station, het grootste aantal onderscheidingen gekregen tijdens de 12de Jaarlijkse festival van de Internationale Bluegrass Muziek Associatie (IBMA).

Het festival werd gehouden op woensdag, 4 oktober in het "Kentucky Center for Arts" in Louisville, Kentucky.

De staat Kentucky heeft als bijnaam "The Bluegrass State".

Rhonda Vincent en haar groep "The Rage" namen gezamelijk vier ( 4 ) onderscheidingen meer naar huis evenals trouwens Dan Tyminski, lid van de groep "Union Station" van Alisson Kraus en de " O Brother Man's man of constant sorrow ".

Alhoewel natuurlijk in het programma "EL - O 'Kay Ranch" van maandagavond, 8 oktober ruim aandacht aan dit festival is gegeven en muziek van vermelde winnaars ten gehore is gebracht, volgt hieronder nog een compleet overzicht van de toekenning van de "Awards"

Voor de goede bluegrass, folk en countrymuziek kunt U elke maandagavond van 20.00 - 21.00 terecht bij de "Grand Ole Opry" van de Krimpenerwaard, "EL - O - Kay Ranch".

Voor de liefhebbers wordt de uitzending op dinsdagmorgen van 10.00 - 11.00 herhaald.
